Villaines Chair
Two columns of turned wooden beads, a soft white seat. The Villaines Chair is light, organic in shape and easy to live with: a dining chair that asks for nothing.
Design Inspiration
Its name comes from Villaines-les-Rochers, a cave-dwelling village in France's Loire Valley where a cooperative of artisans keeps alive a long tradition of willow basket weaving. The chair's character sits in its two back posts, each a column of rounded, organic beads rising to a small finial and framing the padded backrest.
Key Features
- Materials: Ash wood frame, bouclé upholstery
- Colors: Golden Pecan; White bouclé
- Dimensions: 44.5 x 51 x 83 cm; seat height 47 cm
- Back posts: Turned bead details ending in small round finials
- Backrest: Padded rectangular panel framed between the posts
- Seat: Upholstered seat on a wooden frame with a grooved edge, on four straight round legs
Design and Manufacturing
The frame is the detail to notice: ash turned into a run of beads on the back posts, left straight and slender on the legs. Against the warm Golden Pecan tone, the white bouclé, a looped pile that reads soft and slightly nubby, makes the pairing of fabric and wood the whole point. The chair stays light in the hand and in the room.
Usage and Maintenance
Indoor use only. Brush or vacuum the fabric regularly. Avoid abrasive products, excessive moisture and strong sunlight. For stains, use professional upholstery cleaning. Wipe the wooden frame with a soft, dry cloth.
Versatility and Style
Very versatile: for everyday dining, a desk, a bedroom or a reading corner. Someone carries one across the room with one hand, sets it by the window and sits. Villaines dresses a dining room with pieces that move with the day, gently vintage and never heavy.

Amazing product and the finishing is great. Teh delivery is very slow
They are glorious. Nice heavy feel. Sturdy made. When i opened boxed. They were a darker green. Thought it was a mistake. But they are luminous and
Color changes from darker to mid green. Only bought four sets. Will def buy more. I have a bamboo set that i bought from a different company. Would not have bought if i saw in person. The resin gives it strength and beauty. Drool worthy but must hide from my
Kids as they always take good
Stuff and dont return it. LOVE this
Company.
Absolutely stunning. Even prettier in person. Check
Measurements. Dinner plate more like
A larger side plate. But who cares because it
Is workable and so
Dang well made. Had one issue
With a plate. Sent an email. Received a reply and resolution not even ten minutes later. Looking forward to buying more in the future.
The team followed up after delivery to make sure everything arrived safely. The Camp de Mar Lamp is lovely and the quality is exactly as described.
The Dès Màrmols Lamp is now the first thing people notice when they come in. The ceramic base and fabric shade looks beautiful and the quality is evident.
What I wanted was a lamp that changed the mood of my living room in the evenings without harsh overhead light. The Bassa Lamp does exactly that. The light it produces is soft, warm, and flattering in a way that photographs simply do not convey. The marble base and rattan shade adds to this warmth. Delivery took around two weeks — the packaging was excellent. Not a mark on it. Salaterra clearly cares about how their products arrive.
I ordered the Catlar Lamp and got in touch with a question before delivery. The response was fast and genuinely helpful. When the lamp arrived, the team followed up to make sure everything was right — something I rarely experience. The lamp itself is beautiful: the ceramic and natural fiber shade is exactly as described and it looks stunning in my bedroom. It arrived in about two weeks, well packaged and not a mark on it. Highly recommend.
